September 2022 Issue 2
Message from Head of School, Matt McCrea
Dear Families,
Meridian is off to a wonderful start to the year. Last week, many of our K-8 students took the MAP test, which gives teachers and families information about how our students are progressing in math and reading. In the next week, teachers and staff will be working hard to plan lessons and support for all of our students based on those results so that each one of our students has everything they need to be successful. We will share information about your student's MAP scores during family-teacher conferences on October 5 and are also planning family engagement sessions to help you understand the MAP scores and all that you can do to support your student's growth and learning at home.
We appreciate the partnership that we have with each and every one of you and are grateful for the opportunity to serve you and your students. If there's anything we can do to make Meridian better (or anything that's going well that you'd like to share with us), please don't hesitate to reach out. Have a wonderful week!
Educationally,
Mr. McCrea

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS BACK!
It starts with a choice: What do I want to read? And since being empowered to choose their own books is a milestone opportunity to identify and express their own voice, kids also leave the Book Fair as bolder, prouder, and stronger individuals.
