EDUCATOR OF THE WEEK
Congratulations to Ms. Robynne Ryan-Lambert, this week's Educator of the Week. Ms. Ryan-Lambert is the District's Project Reach/McKinney Vento Coordinator.
Ms. Ryan-Lambert began her career in the MPSD in 2017 and from Day 1, she has been an amazing advocate for so many of our students and families. In her role, she is asked to work with the District's homeless population, along with those who are in foster care. The position also calls on her to address the needs of students who have parents who are actively serving in the military and for those families who are deemed migratory.
Beyond the defined responsibilities, Ms. Ryan-Lambert works tirelessly to make sure the students that fall under her watch have the food they need throughout the day. She works with other caregiver organizations to ensure her students are also appropriately dressed, have the school supplies they need to succeed and teaches the parents of her students about supports that are available to them. Her role also calls on her to assist them when they are in need of financial assistance or transportation.
She is a great ambassador for the District and has partnered with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, Sowing Seeds, the Marshfield Food Pantry, the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce, Marshfield Realtors Cooperative and the Marshfield Community Rib Cook-Off Committee, just to name a few. These relationships have helped garner additional support for her students and their families.
As we enter the holiday season, her work with individuals and organizations greatly increases. Through her efforts, they have raised thousands upon thousands of dollars to allow those with severe financial needs to be able to provide their children with the type of holiday they deserve. Be it presents, clothes, gift cards or holiday meals, Ms. Ryan-Lambert works non-stop for these children and their families.
We are so fortunate to have Ms. Ryan-Lambert in our district. The lives of the students she works with have been forever changed thanks to the compassion, care and love she brings to them everyday. We thank her and congratulate her for being named our Educator of the Week!!
SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH UPDATE
Dear MPSD Community,
I wanted to provide you with a brief update on the Superintendent search process.
The Search Committee is in full swing, conducting interviews of semi-finalists this week. As a reminder, due to state privacy laws, this round of interviews is not conducted in an open session.
Next Monday December 11, the School Committee will hold a brief special meeting to publicly announce the finalists for the Superintendency. Throughout next week, we will hold site visits with the finalists in Marshfield, which will include opportunities for families, staff, and students to hear directly from the candidates in individual community forum settings. This will be your chance to speak with the candidates.
As soon as we have identified the finalists for these positions, we will work to schedule their individual site visits and will share dates and times with the community so those who are interested can attend the forums.
Finally, please remember that the School Committee will interview each finalist individually beginning at 9AM on Saturday December 16 at the Seth Ventress Building (76 South River Street). Per the Open Meeting Law, only elected School Committee members are permitted to ask questions; however, members of the general public are more than welcome to attend and listen to the candidates.
Barring any unforeseen delays such as weather events, we are still on track to vote on our new Superintendent of Schools on Tuesday, December 19.
I hope this information is helpful. Please always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Sean Costello
Chair, Marshfield School Committee

ELEMENTARY FAMILY MATH NIGHT
This past Monday was a special night at the MES. Over 300 students and parent/guardians from across the district showed up for our first Family Math Night. There was fun and games around the school, with dozens of teachers, tutors, aides and administrators interacting with their students on all things math. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to create a really fun event, focused on math. #WeRMarshfield
MEF FALL GIVING CAMPAIGN
We Are Better Together.
The Marshfield Education Foundation (MEF) supports the Marshfield Public School District by providing critical seed funding for grants submitted by teachers for innovative programs that motivate and excite their students and achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
As we enter the season of giving, we hope you’ll consider supporting the Marshfield Education Foundation with a donation to our 4th Annual Fall Giving Campaign. Since 2010, the MEF has been able to fund over 200 grants reaching every school in the District. This would not be possible without generous donations from people like you, our community, and our local business sponsors.
Through the support of the Marshfield community, we have been able to support many innovative and creative programs in coding and robotics, reading and literacy, performing and visual arts, virtual reality and CAD design, physical fitness, and outdoor classrooms. Your donation and support directly impacts the students and teachers of the Marshfield community. Together, we can raise the necessary funds to be able to continue to fulfill our mission of providing innovative and creative programs to the classrooms.
