With the school year nearing, we wanted to take an opportunity to remind families about Student Summit! Student Summit is an opportunity to meet with your child's teacher one-on-one. The dates for Student Summit will be Monday, August 21st (8:00am - 4:00pm) and Tuesday, August 22nd (12:00pm - 7:00pm). On Tuesday, August 1st, you will receive an email that introduces your child's teacher AND has a link to sign up for Student Summit on either 8/21or 8/22.

In Summary:

• Tuesday, August 1st you will find out your child's teacher
• a welcome letter from your teacher will be emailed to you
• the Student Summit Signup link will be included in the letter

We would like to re-introduce Julie Hetzel to the MV Community as she has been serving within MNSD and Mill Valley for many years. Julie Hetzel will begin as Mill Valley's Associate Principal starting August 1st.

Hello Mill Valley Families. I'm happy and excited to be serving you in my new role as your next Associate Principal. For the past eleven years, I have been one of MV's Teaching and Learning Coaches with an emphasis on literacy for second through fourth grade. I have been in education for about 30 years in various teaching roles from elementary to middle school, regular education to special education and all in the Muskego-Norway School District. It is an awesome place to be. This has been a very busy summer for me. I purchased a new home in the Town of Genesee. To say the least, the move has been a long journey. When outside of Mill Valley, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. This typically involves eating (love food), and some other activity such as talking about books we've read, snowshoeing, paddleboarding, biking, boating, visiting new places and reminiscing about memories. When it is just me, I like to garden (flowers and vegetables), cook new recipes and read some really good historical fiction books. I truly can't wait to get to know all of our families at Mill Valley.
