2. Begin Using DDI Trackers

You should have received meeting invites for your individual sessions with Ashley or I beginning next week. We'll take time during that meeting to review your personal tracker and how to work with the OLS tracker, as well as review your SLO step 1, and your TTESS Goal. Start thinking now what you would like to focus on for TTESS

3. Check out these Cohort Updates

Cohort 2 will join regular CC sessions on Monday, September 10th. If you have instructional levels, please use the list sent this morning to invite students to the appropriate CC sessions.

Cohort 3 will begin Strong Start on Wednesday, September 12th. If you have new homeroom students, please begin connection calls and schedule the assigned Strong Start sessions. (Check out the To Do List for more info!)

4. Curriculum Maps

Curriculum maps should be updated weekly in the teal-colored Guiding Questions for Developing Lesson Plans for Live Instruction columns as you are planning/teaching your live CC sessions. They are working documents and they need to be up-to-date for administrators, leads, your PLC partners, and the curriculum coordinators to view.

5. Book Study Option for TTESS Goal

Book Study for Professional Development

Purpose: Complete 6 hours of professional development related to your TTESS goal.

Book: Teacher will locate a book that is directly related to development in the focus area of their approved TTESS goal. The book will be approved by the teacher’s appraiser or principal. The cost of the book is not reimbursable.

Structure: Teachers can complete a book study together with another teacher that has a similar TTESS goal or individually. Reflections will be submitted to the appraiser and principal by the end of October, December, February, and April. Reflections can be completed by summarizing what was learned as an essay or any presentation format (PowerPoint, Screencastomatic, Jing, etc.). Teachers that completed a book study will complete a 3-5 minute presentation at a campus meeting in May to share new strategies or information that they learned.
