COVID
We have had a rise in the number of positive COVID cases this week in the school. Can I ask all families to please be vigilant, monitor for any symptoms and get tested if you are at all worried.
We have also had an increase in the number students wearing masks as a precautionary measure. This is encouraged particularly in indoor situations where distancing is not possible.
Please keep doing all you can to keep everyone in our community safe.
Wellness Week
This week is Wellness Week and it has been a big hit with our students. They have really enjoyed wearing their sports uniform all week and the activities that have taken place.
I hope for families at home it has also been a good opportunity to slow down with no homework to supervise or meetings at school.
We will continue to grow Wellness Week as it is more important than ever to focus on both our physical and mental health.
Tomorrow morning from 7.30am there will be a coffee van available near the hall for our families to utilise when dropping off in the morning.
I thank our Wellness Committee for organising a wonderful week!
Year 5 Assembly
Well done to Miss Barton and the Year 5 class for their assembly item last week.
Although I wasn’t there on the day I did have a sneak preview last Thursday. I was certainly very impressed by the students and how confident they were. Some of the music and outfits reminded me of my childhood.
A great job by all!

We will continue our relationship with Paul by booking him in to speak to our Year 5 and 6 classes next year.
I would like to thank the P&F for funding this opportunity for our families.

COVID Portal
It is still vitally important that parents and caregivers inform the school if their child tests positive for COVID-19.
Parents and caregivers can inform the school of their child’s positive or negative COVID result via this LINK - https://cewa-collections.powerappsportals.com/COVID-19-Self-Reporting-Form/
The information will go directly to me.
If a positive result is recorded via a RAT test it must also be registered on the WA Health RAT register website -
https://datalibrary-rc.health.wa.gov.au/surveys/index.php?s=WDLLNTW4RDX8AWPH
Please do not underestimate the importance of informing us of a positive COVID case. Your actions will ensure the risk to others is minimised and that we do our very best to limit the spread of the virus across our community.
Best Wishes
Mark Ryan
SRC Class of the Week - Year 6
Over the past few weeks the Year 6 class have been busy doing dot painting for Naidoc week. As part of our studies, we drew a native Australian animal and created Australian Aboriginal dot paintings.
The Year 6 class have also been writing cinquain poem about the beauty of the earth.
In Maths the Year 6's have been learning about chance and probability and figuring out what theoretical and experimental probability is.
In sport we have been training for the SNAFL carnival. We did quite well – at least we won a few games.
We interviewed some students in Year 6 and found out some of their interests. Neve and Charlie’s favourite subject is sport. Neve’s favourite holiday place is Karijini and she loves snorkelling with tortoises.
