I'm originally from California near Death Valley and moved to Colorado while in high school
My son is heading into 7th grade
My husband is nearing retirement as an aviation mechanic
We have two mutts: Starbuck and Boomer
I LOVE Target, pizza, BBQ, shades of blue, and going to the park, beach, and movies

Course Overview
Life Skills is designed to increase student knowledge and skills necessary for everyday living. The course emphasizes goal-setting, decision making and problem solving, communication, healthy lifestyles and relationships, nutrition, personal safety, citizenship and consumerism.
Assignments and Grading
Assignments:
Your grade in the course will be based on teacher-graded assignments:- Sync Activities
- Interviews
- Refections
Expectations:
- You must log into the Online Learning System (OLS) and work on your school work weekly
- Complete assignments by the due date and redo any assignments that do not earn full credit
Grade Structure:
- A: 80% - 100%
- B: 70% - 79%
- NC (No Credit) - Anything below 70% means you're not earning credit for the course
Due Dates:
- Sync Activities are typically due immediately following the live session
- Async Activities like the Interviews will open during Week 2 of the Block and be due the last week of the Block
- Grades will generally be updated within 24 hours of submission
Late Policy:
- There is no penalty for late assignments, but all assignments must be submitted by 4 PM on the last day of the Block
- You'll need to complete a Block Appeal Form and meet with your Champion Teacher the last week of the Block if you're planning to appeal for an extension to submit assignments
