Parent Teacher Conferences (March 6 & 7)

Students will be getting a paper about conferences in Social Studies on Tuesday. They should bring that paper home, let you select your time preference, and then they will give it BACK to their Social Studies teachers. If you want, you can click on this link and print the form to send back to us.

Ask your child...

Have you ever asked your student how his/her day was and you get one word answers? Use these questions to ask specific questions about the week and get him/her talking!

Social Studies 7: What led to more deaths during the construction of the Panama Canal? Accidents or diseases?
Acc. Math 7 - Is it better to buy a TWO 12" pizzas or ONE 18" pizza? Why?
Science 6 - What is the difference between climate and weather?
Science 7 - What is the importance of a producer in an ecosystem?
ELA 6 - Define theme.
ELA 7 - Where can you usually find a claim in an argument?
Math 6 - What are the three measures of precision/variability? What do they do? How do you calculate them? What is an outlier and how does it affect the data?
Math 7 - What are complementary and supplementary angles?
Language Lab - What is an appositive? Why do we use it?
Art 6: What is one thing you are proud of on your two point perspective project? What is something you struggled with?
Art 7 - Tell me about your self portrait project. What do you like about it so far? What do you want to change?
Advanced Art: Tell me about something you've struggled with on your project. What is something you're proud of?
Stagecraft: What props and/or set pieces are you working on currently?
Keycode: sk to see your child's "If Then Adventure" story.
EAST: What are you struggling with in your project?
Band: How many notes have you learned on your instrument? Which is the highest and lowest notes you can play?
Music: What is the name of the line that divides music into measures?

Virtual Summer Option for Current 7th/Future 8th graders

A student can elect to take Careers in the summer if his/her schedule necessitates it. Here is the "Choice" Summer School link. All questions should be directed toward Kim Krueger (kkrueger@sdale.org).

7th graders - Track 2023 season is about to start!

Here is the link to the clothing store. The store will close on February 26th. **Coach Nichols only did CJHS gear. In years past, parents prefer this because they can use items for three years.
