Sophomores to SCCC
To attend the trip, permission slips must be in the HS Office by 3:00 pm on Monday, March 20.
Extra copies are in the HS Counseling Office, or the electronic form is below.
Congratulations to SHS Senior, Maddi Zdybel (center) for her 1st Place finish at State Educators Rising Contest through her work at SCCC with her Interactive Bulletin Board! She will compete at Nationals in the summer!
Thanks for the Memories!
Tuesday, March 21st will be our Spring Senior Recognition at the baseball game. We invite
you to join us for our program after the game! Like in years past, we will recognize and celebrate our seniors. Activities being recognized on Tuesday night include Baseball, Choir, Golf, and Track.
We are happy to celebrate the following Seniors:
Christopher Abney, Choir
Kiara Adams, Choir
Donovan Beyer, Baseball
Jayden Buglovsky, Choir & Track
Jayce Case, Baseball
Deliza Cortez, Track
Dom Gilson, Track
Madelyn Miller, Choir
Dustyn Simmons, Golf
Parents, if your student is participating in one of these activities, please join us for recognition after the game. We will line up at the dugout.
Mrs. Shaw and her Graphic Arts students have created the vinyl Senior Banners that will hang on the fences for the game. We are grateful for their support and the students’ hard work to get to this milestone. Those banners will be presented to the students at or after the Spring Sports Banquet.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, March 21st. Rain date will be next home game Tuesday, April 4th .
Please let us know if you have questions.
Tick Tock
We will ask Seniors to stop by the HS Office at the beginning of the week to confirm the spelling of their name for their Diploma so we can get them ordered.
Speaking of Graduation...remember:
- Your attendance must be at least 90% to walk at the Graduation ceremony.
- Your Diploma must contain your legal name. At the ceremony, I can call your name as whatever you request - full name, first and last only, Andy instead of Andrew...

CLASS RANKINGS
Per Board Policy IKC (Approved 11/20/12) - In the interest of encouraging and recognizing outstanding academic achievement, the top 10 percent of each high school graduating class will be honored at graduation in lieu of a valedictorian and a salutatorian. For more information, please refer to the full board policy.

Due to liability concerns from MUSIC, our insurance company, pets are not permitted on school property.
This excludes service animals and classroom/curricular animals, pre approved by a Building Principal.
Shout Out
Take a minute to let me know all about it by filling out THIS FORM.
Students, Parents, and Staff can give a shout out to any Slater Schools employee! We'll make sure they receive a copy of it and will look for ways to share them with you throughout the year as well.
Let's get to bragging about all the good people around here!
Coming Soon!
It is very important for students to be in attendance during this time. Please make arrangements for appointments to be made outside of this time frame to allow for uninterrupted testing time.
Check out the Board Approved Calendar for the 2023-24 School Year:
Old Business
Authorized Use
The loaner Chromebooks are to be used by students whose machines are being repaired.
If you have lost or forgotten your machine, you are on your own. You are still responsible for completing the work that was assigned - you just may get to do it on paper. Welcome to 1994. It was a good year. :)
Restricted
We need that area for District vehicles and staff members.
Thank you!
Where'd You Go?
Parking Spot Painting
If you earned a reserved parking spot (21-22 Students of the Month, Field Day Winners - see the list below), you're officially able to begin the painting process! See the Contract below. Printed copies are available in the HS Office.
Spoiler alert:
- There's a $25 deposit this year. You'll get it back after repainting your spot at a day and time to be determined. Materials for this will be provided by the school.
Clarification:
You don't have to be on the list to park at school/drive. These are the students who have earned reserved spots that they may choose to personalize by painting. If you don't have a reserved spot, you can park in the Gravel Lot south of the HS Building or North of the ECC, off of Morgan Street.
