News & Upcoming Events
Good Morning OES families!
I am finding it difficult to believe that 2024 is just around the corner. It seems like just yesterday I was opening the doors for the first day of school, and welcoming everyone in for a pancake breakfast. Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to observe the students of OES develop a caring, kind, respectful, and responsible community. Hearing students ask each other if they are okay, helping each other, and saying please & thank you, has helped to change the way students are interacting with each other. We will continue to develop this positive community of caring individuals in the new year.
During break OES has been a busy place! New flooring has been installed in the entryway by the gym, and in two classrooms. The adjustments to the two sensory rooms have been completed, and some student service spaces have been relocated with in the building. This has required additional work for some teachers, as well as for Mr. Tanguay (a.k.a Mike - our custodian). I want to send a special thanks for those of you involved in this additional work over your break. The new floors and spaces look amazing!
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Wishing you a safe and healthy New Year!
Shannon Laliberty, Principal
Happy New Year from the staff of OES!
8th Graders are beginning their Transition to Lake Region!
