Todd Whitaker, one of the nation’s leading authorities on staff motivation, teacher leadership and principal effectiveness, will be in Emmetsburg on Jan. 18 as part of the Northwest Iowa AEA Leadership Academy.
Todd will present to teachers from 8-11 a.m. and the topic will be "What Great Teachers Do Differently, 17 Things That Matter Most." Administrators should plan to attend the morning session with teachers.
From 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Todd will present to administrators about "What Connected Educators Do Differently" and "What Great Principals Do Differently."
While the administrators are in session with Todd, teachers will participate in a debriefing session to include thoughtful questions and reflection led by willing districts’ teacher leaders and leadership and learning reps. Topics will focus on current performance, views, and how to implement and sustain Whitaker’s principles.
Lunch will be provided and served from 11-11:30 a.m. Cost per participant will be $75. To register, click here. Registration deadline is Jan. 8, 2016. Maximum number is 350 people. No refunds.
