Tips from the Athletic Trainer
Stretching
Whether you are playing golf or basketball, stretching helps you to stay flexible. Flexibility can prevent injuries, especially at the knee and ankle. Stretching correctly will improve motion, increase blood flow, and decrease stiffness. It's important to know the proper way to stretch for each muscle group. Warm up the muscles before stretching, by walking, jogging or doing jumping jacks. Cooling down is also important because it will help the muscles to relax.
