10 Days Before Winter Break!
On the 10th day before break, my principal gave to me...
Are you ready for some fun?
On the 10th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
a chance to spread holiday cheer!
Monday 12/9It's a wonderful life and we have wonderful colleagues that we work with! Monday, December 9th is National Christmas Card Day! Everyone loves to get a card or a nice note...check out the selection in front of the mailboxes. Write a card for a colleague! Let them know how wonderful you think they are.
On the 9th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
some extra time!
Tuesday 12/10
We all need some extra time to shop for gifts, prepare our houses for family visits, and plan holiday meals. Today, no emails from the principal means that you will have a little extra time to get yourself ready for the holidays! And I bet with that extra time you might be doing a little happy dance!
On the 8th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
a pick-me-up!
Wednesday 12/11
Chugga chugga choo choo, the Polar Express is rolling through!
Everyone could use a little pick-me-up, so we have decided to fill your cup! Check the staff room for some Dunkin Donuts coffee or some hot cocoa....and maybe some candy canes too!
On the 7th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
a crazy night at the Hurley house!
Thursday 12/12
So we have just a few more than 8 nights before winter break, but come get in the holiday spirit at our staff party at Patty Hurley's house! We promise it won't be too crazy since we all need to show up to work on Friday!
On the 6th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
Hugs and Kisses!
Friday 12/13
Is there sugar in syrup?! Then yes...you know you want a hug or a kiss! Stop by the teacher lunch room for lots of hugs and kisses...ok, maybe these are actually the chocolate kind. Real hugs available at no extra cost! ;)
On the 5th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
a mad about plaid day and jeans day!
Monday 12/16
What a lovely little happy accident that it's a Monday and you don't have to think about your outfit! If you can extend your weekend wear into Monday and don't have to plan your outfit, maybe you will be able to hit the snooze button one more time this morning?! And if you have some comfy flannel or cozy sweaters to wear...throw that on with your jeans.
On the 4th day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
Some Frozen fun!
Tuesday 12/17Do you want to build a snowman? Or find some Frozen character matches? There are Frozen character puzzle pieces hidden throughout the school. Find a puzzle piece and don't "let it go!" Then find the person who has the matching piece to solve the puzzle and you and your partner will win a prize!
On the 3rd day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
a chance to Bling It On!
Wednesday 12/18
This is your chance to be as glamorous or as gaudy as you want. Pull out your best festive wear and bring on the holiday cheer! Is your style along the lines of Cousin Eddie?! Or maybe Aunt Bethany is more your style?! Or maybe you want to dress for a Hawaiian holiday...go against the norm and dress for a tropical holiday!
On the 2nd day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
A Special Luncheon
Thursday 12/19
“He took the Who’s feast, he took the Who pudding, he took the roast beast. He cleaned out that ice box as quick as a flash. Why, the Grinch even took their last can of Who hash.” No taking anyone's food, "Lettuce" celebrate the holidays with a salad themed luncheon. The admin team will provide lettuce, salad fixings and dressing...come build your own salad in the conference room. And since our hearts are already 3 sizes too big, bring in food donations so we can do a staff donation to the food pantry.
On the last day before winter break, my principal gave to me...
a Jammie Day!
Friday 12/20
Before we send the kids off to Toyland, the students will be having a school-wide pajama day for Paws Pantry so it only seems fair for staff as well. We are doing a book swap for the kids to get some books for winter break...and I am sure some of you might want some fun reading for the break. Staff book swap will be in the conference room. Bring in books to donate to the swap! The PTA will be providing breakfast in the library. I will also be sending out zero emails to help you have more time to prepare for holiday relaxation. And I encourage everyone to leave as soon as the students are gone. Enjoy your break! (Fun fact - Growing up Babes in Toyland was a favorite in my house! My brothers and sister and I watched it over and over and over!)
