Dear Page Hilltop Families:

We are heading into the last few days of October. This month passed so quickly! Before we head into November, we have two school events/activities left: the Literacy Live parade on Monday @ 2:00 pm and the opening of our Page Hilltop Pumpkin Patch.

All PH families are invited to view the parade. You may park your vehicles and find a good standing spot by the Washington Street grounds, the lower gym parking lot, or the grassy areas by the PH entrance.

You are also encouraged to check out our wonderful pumpkin patch. The students and staff have come up with some amazing pumpkin creations. Check out some of these decorated pumpkins. The rest of them will be in the patch on Monday.

On Wednesday, November 23rd we have a half day before the Thanksgiving Break. Students are able to pre-order a school lunch using this GOOGLE FORM. Lunches will be delivered to your student's classroom before dismissal on 11/23/22.

Before we know it the holidays will be upon us! With the help of local organizations, we are offering holiday assistance, clothing, toys, and other gifts to support families during this time.

If you would like to apply for holiday assistance, please fill out this Holiday Help Application google form by November 14, 2022.

Mrs. Crutchfield's Class: Students in each homeroom worked collaboratively to decorate a pumpkin for our upcoming Literacy Live event on Monday, October 31st. Students in Mrs. Crutchfield's class worked to turn their classroom pumpkin into a Caramel Apple Pumpkin. Take a look!

Mrs. Colello's Class: Students in Mrs. Colello's 2nd-grade class take a minute to do some yoga before moving on to their next learning activity.

Mrs. Reilly's Class: 2nd graders welcomed a mystery reader this week. It was Olivia Orlandella's mom who visited the children and read one of her favorite books. Olivia's older sister, Avery, also came with some special treats for the students.

Our resident balloon artist, Mrs. Batres, returned with another seasonal balloon creation. The students love seeing these.

Ms. Cubero, one of our school adjustment counselors, will be hosting a chess club in the near future.

First grader Adri is feeling very proud as she earned her 10th PAWS slip and received a special prize.

Thanks to our awesome art teacher, Mrs. Cowley, students are able to share what they are grateful for! If you have an idea, stop by and fill out a slip. We will hang it up for you.

Our annual Veterans Day program will be held on Thursday, November 10th, beginning at 9:30. It will be held in the high school auditorium. This is always one of out most special and memorable school community events. We hope that many of our military veterans will be able to attend so that we may honor you.

We would like our PH families to share any photos you have of family members who served in the military. Please email them to Mr. Lutinski at: mlutinski@asrsd.org

DONATIONS: If any family would like to make a contribution towards the special brunch we will be hosting for the veterans, we will gratefully accept any amount. Please send your donation, in an envelope, to the office.

Our annual Turkey Trot will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 9:30 am. This year's Trot will be held on our amazing new high school track. All Page Hilltop families are welcome to join us for this fun event!

Registration for the 10th Annual Dance for Kindness is still open and we look forward to having you join us for the event on Sunday, November 13th @ 1:00pm. The dance will take place downtown, right on Main Street. Our local police & fire departments will be supporting us and closing down a section of Main Street.

All ASRSD students, families, friends and community members are welcome to participate.

This community event is open to all spectators and participants.

If interested, you are welcome to participate in some dance rehearsals on Monday & Tuesday afternoon (3:15 - 4:30) in the Page Hilltop cultural arts room.
