ALL BULLDOG

OK. I accomplished my Senior Spotlight and Staffulty of the Week with the help of my daughter. Like I said, sometimes you just have to ask for help. These two new recognitions are something I wanted to do to celebrate all the great people at our school. I am so excited for our seniors and the journey that is set before them. I also can't wait to see the impact they have on our school this year. I'm also thankful for all of our staff and the impact they have in getting our seniors to that graduation stage. There are a lot of people inside these walls who have made students their life's work. Finally, thanks to the families at home and all the sacrifices you've made and are currently making to help all of us help your student reach that goal of graduation. So let's get started! The 1st 9 weeks is over in one month and conferences happen in about three and half weeks. Buckle up! It's going to be a great ride!

FFA will have a meeting Friday, September 8 during AEP. It will be held in the Bulldog Room, formerly know as the Innovation Station.

BULLDOG CARDS are on sale NOW! Band/Cheer/Tennis teams/FBLA members are selling Bulldog Cards this year to raise funds for their respective organizations. Thank you in advance for supporting these students and organizations!

Do you want to watch Shakespeare in a festival setting with games, food, and more? Sign up with Mr. Friedrichs for the MJSHS trip to St. Mary’s on Sept. 30.

The van leaves the east side of the high school at 3:45 p.m. and returns around midnight. Space is limited.

Dental Screenings are scheduled for Friday, September 8th at both campuses. We will start at the MJSH first at 815 AM (Gr 7-12) and then follow up at the elementary (P3-Gr1) in the morning until 1100 AM. The elementary (Gr 2-6) will finish up from 130-330 pm. We will use the OLD gym again at the MJSH and the Commons Area at MES.

These two Stuco members spent several hours fixing the fallen pictures in the display cases. Our school and alumni thank you!

If you are a junior or senior you can take the CNA courses for free. We are offering them through Highland here at the High school starting in September. (see details below)

We will be offering the ASVAB to students who are interested in joining a branch of the military.

This could be taken by any junior or senior who would like to use it for a career exploration opportunity. It tells you what you would be good at for a job after high school. For the military, it will tell you if you are qualified and what jobs you would qualify for. Please see Mrs. Behrens for more details.

Juniors: Please let Mrs. Behrens know if you would like to take the PSAT/NMSQT.

Friday, September 15 - Last day to sign up for Highland concurrent classes.

PLEASE remember to check your child's lunch account on RevTrak. And if needed, please complete the free or reduced lunch application that can be found on our website. We have MANY students who are not eating lunch because of financial reasons. If you need help navigating these documents, please call the main office.

Grace is making sure our school rocks: STUCO, volleyball, and playing that trumpet in band, are just a few of her talents. She even shared cookies with everyone when it was HER birthday! Thanks for all you do, Grace!

Aaliyah went out of her to help me pick up the bathroom after someone had thrown toilet paper everywhere even though she wasn’t asked to help. Way to go Aaliyah!

Mrs. Sandmann's Nutrition and Wellness class created a masterpiece this week for their first cooking lab since getting back in the classroom!
