CFF NEWSLETTER

It's hard to believe we have been in school for 4 weeks already. Hope everyone is staying healthy and cool! Even though we are apart, it is more important than ever that we stay connected! CFF is launching a new newsletter to keep you informed about how you can stay involved and connected with our community! It was so very nice seeing so many of you last Thursday and Friday at Distribution/Picture Day and for some families it is their first time coming to campus, hope everyone (parents and students) enjoyed connecting and re-connecting with each other!

THANK YOU to all the families that made a get well card or wrote a note to Maria and Martha. The outpouring of support and love are very much appreciated and truly shows what an amazing community we belong to! So many families brought in reusable plastic and paper bags, we should have more than enough for future distributions. THANK YOU so much!

Our teachers and staff are doing an incredible job keeping our students engaged and learning remotely. We need every family to participate in our Pledge Drive, so that we can raise $325k to fund all of our programming from PE to Technology, Art and Dance and so much more.

CFF asks EVERYONE to volunteer during the year to assist with school events, fundraising, teacher/student support, admin, beautification, etc. There are ways to help from your home or office and volunteering on campus. Please fill out the form below and let us know how you would like to help. Time, Treasure ($$), and Talent... please give one or all three!

Readathon Team will be meeting this week, and other committees will be meeting soon. If you want to get meeting invite, be sure to sign up ASAP! if you haven't signed up for any committee - click on the Volunteer For A Committee Button.

We're really close to getting the ball rolling with our Room Parent Teams this year, and while we already know nothing can be the same this year, we are looking forward to working together to preserve some of the traditions that make our school so special the best we can!

There are still open spots, so it is not too late to sign up (particularly 3rd and 4th grade rooms). We are hoping each room will have the following roles:

Communications Parent: Relays information to class about school events, fundraisers, and general communications throughout the year.

Party Planner: Organizes any gifts for teachers and TA's and organizes special events for the classroom throughout the year (all remote this year).

Treasurer: Collects the class funds, and keeps track of the financials for the year.

Calling all Kinder parents! The CFF Kinder Grade Level Director election process begins this week with nominations and continues the week of September 21st with electronic elections!

Every kinder parent plays a role --

• If you are an eager Kinder parent who wants to be involved, you can self-nominate!
• If you know someone great for the role, you can nominate them!
• And everyone should cast their vote during the week of September 21st!

There is no wrong way to be involved and your participation in this process is appreciated!
