• Car line drop-off will be open from 8:47 - 9:05 AM.
• Students arriving after 9:05 should report to the main office. An adult must sign them in at the office after 9:05.
• School Hours are 9:05 AM - 3:20 PM. The main office will be open from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• A free breakfast and lunch will be served on the first day school.
• Your child's new teacher will greet them outside their classroom and other staff members will be highly visible to assist students to their new classroom.
• IMPORTANT: If you are making any changes to your child's transportation for the first day or first week of school, please notify your child's teacher and the school secretary at mryan@nasd.k12.pa.us ASAP.

During the first couple of weeks of school your child’s bus may be delayed picking up or dropping off. The NASD Transportation department asks that you arrive 10 minutes early and wait 10 minutes after the scheduled drop off time. It is not uncommon for school buses to be delayed up to 30 - 40 minutes or more during this time of year. For additional help and contact information please click here: Transportation Guide. We would like to remind all of our Kindergarten families to please make sure that they notify the bus driver that their child is in Kindergarten.

On Monday we will be providing a bus tag to ALL of the students and would ask that each family help ensure that their child has a bus tag attached to their child’s school bag.

AM Car Rider Procedures: 8:47 - 9:05 AM

Car Rider Tag - Please make sure that you display your car rider tag when picking up your child. Car Rider Tags will be distributed at kindergarten orientation and during the first week of school.

To ensure safe car rider morning drop-off procedures, please be reminded of the following:

• Morning drop off begins at 8:47 once the staff are on the car rider platform and the doors are open

• Please pull up to the “yellow” zone before your child exits the car.

• Please teach your child to unbuckle themselves and open the car door independently.

• Students should exit the car on the passenger side and go directly to the sidewalk to enter the building.

• When exiting the car rider loop, please maintain a safe speed and be aware of students and other cars. 15 MPH

**If your child needs assistance getting unbuckled or you need additional time please pull around to the parking spots by the baseball fields. Then proceed to walk your child by the tree barriers to the sidewalk.

PM Car Rider Procedures: 3:20 - 3:45 AM

When picking children up in the afternoon, please:

• Follow lane assignments

• Please pull up in line and your child will walk to your car

• Do not get out of your car as this delays our loading process.

• Teach your child to open the door and buckle themself.

• Students are dismissed when their car is in the “yellow” zone

• Please enter and exit the car rider lot in a safe manner. 15 MPH

• If you have any questions about the car rider procedures, please speak with one of the teachers on duty.
