Welcome Back to School Edition

The Academic Advisors and School Counselor are excited to have students back on campus. This year our Student of the Month awards will focus on the Theme and Words of the Month. Teachers and staff will be looking for students who portray the current month theme. Students will be recognised during our Student of the Month meetings. The 1st Quarter Themes and Words are as follows:

Our Guidance page includes Resource Information and/or links on the

Academic Domain such as study skills, test taking, tutoring resources, and useful links for help with English writing and Math skills; Personal-Social Domain including stress management, conflict mediation, grief, as well as our Counselors Corner; and the College and Career Domain with information about high school graduation requirements, college admissions, and career choices.

As we look forward to our College and Career Month in November, students may wish to check out the California Career Zone (click on the button below or find under the QuickLinks on our College and Career Guidance page) and complete a Self-assessment to see what careers may match your unique interests and strengths. Start with the Interest Profiler.

The Academic Advisors will be focussing on helping 8th graders develop a Four Year Plan over the next month. If you are an 8th grader, you should have received a link to a survey about High School Planning. If you've not received the email, we would appreciate if you could complete the survey located at the link below.
