Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of a jam-packed week of Easter celebrations and the end of a very busy term, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all parents and carers for all your unconditional support. It has been a real pleasure to welcome you into the various school events we have had over the past few months and for you to see the wonderful learning that is happening in our school. Every child at Larks Hill makes me smile each day and I feel very proud to be the Headteacher of such an amazing school community.

Easter Bonnet Parade

This week, our youngest pupils walked through school singing Easter songs and wearing the Easter bonnets they had made at home for us all to see. We were amazed by the quality and effort that had gone into creating each and every bonnet. After a very difficult discussion, three worthy winners were chosen. Well done to these three children.

Easter egg Competition

This week the children at Larks Hill entered our whole school Easter Egg Competition. The creative talents were fabulous. Our Junior Leadership Team voted democratically for the top three winners. Well done to the winners and all who entered. The standard was very high.

Easter Bun Sale and Book Sale

On Thursday we held an Easter bun and book sale. Thank you to all who took the time to bake and bring in buns for us to sell. Due to your generosity, school made over £200 This will support us with buying much needed additional resources for the school library so thank you again.

Year 3 and 4 Celebration Assembly

On Monday and Tuesday afternoon this week, Year 3 and 4 welcomed parents in to school to celebrate all the learning they have done this term. Well done to all the children and thank you to all those who attended.

Year 5 and 6 World War Tea Party

On Thursday and Friday afternoon this week, Year 5 and 6 welcomed parents and carers in to school for a World War Two tea party. Everyone had a fabulous time drinking tea and eating cucumber sandwiches! There were quizzes and dances, which took everyone, back in time. What an excellent way to end the history unit!

Attendance Attendance

Well done to all those who received a 100% attendance award this week! More than half our school enjoyed a celebration reward on Wednesday afternoon. What an achievement!

Attendance this week:

Overall: 97.7%

Reception: 99%

Year 1: 97%

Year 2: 97.7%

Year 3: 97.3%

Year 4: 97.7%

Year 5: 95%

Year 6: 100%

I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter holiday, that the weather shines and that you have lots of Easter egg treats! I look forward to seeing you all when we return for the Summer Term.

Take care everyone,

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Adams
