Simplicity is the main essence of wabi sabi - objects. They manifest indifference to what is commonly considered as good taste.Knowing the proper design solutions, we will explore wisely "false solutions". Wabi sabi objects can show the impact of an "accident" or apply it consciously. Natural purity, less colors, structure and rough surfaces, which also appeal to the sense of touch are of interest. So Wabisabi objects inspire to shorten the physical and mental distance between people and objects.

We will start with experimental surface design, which can, together with analyzing simple forms, enter into a dialogue with body or an object; Or may be a form grows out of an experiment. Which kind of shapes for wall, clothing or object will emerge…?

Gudrun want you to be creative, to experiment and to liberate yourself little bit from getting exact recipes for every project. She will show methods and will give advice and support to everyone owns project.

All workshops are being taught in English. Price of this class is incl. coffee, tea, sweets all day, but exl. materials. The lunch is with homemade salades and dutch cheeses.
