What it is

Computer Science Education Week is from December 5th to December 11th, 2022. The goals of this annual event (which started in 2009) are:

to inspire K-12 students to learn computer science
advocate for equity in computer science education
celebrate the contributions of students, teachers, and contributors to the field.

Hour of Code

Over the past decade, Computer Science Education Week has almost become synonymous with their signature event, ‘Hour of Code’. The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.
