**Important Dismissal Info!!**
Del City Elementary Dismissal Procedures
In order to keep all students, faculty and family safe during dismissal, we ask that you observe a few guidelines when picking up children after school.
If you need to change how your child gets home, please notify the teacher and front office by 2:30pm for the safety of all.
Some procedures have changed, please read carefully.
Pre-K Pick-Up
Pre-K children will be dismissed from the enclosed play area on the east side of the building promptly at 3pm.
Use the line that forms on the east side of the building or park in the 24th street parking lot and walk up to collect students.
Note: Pre-K students with older siblings must be picked up at 3pm. Older children are dismissed later.
Car Riders
The car rider line begins in front of the building and continues west down 23rd street. (see map) Your School Safe ID tag must be displayed in your car. Be sure to place the tag where it is visible to dismissal teachers. Please stay in line and inside your vehicle. Do not walk up to the building. These steps will ensure teachers put children in their cars quickly and safely.
NOTE: Official School Safe ID’s must be present. Without the School Safe ID you will be required to park and visit the office with a government issued ID to pick up a child.
Daycare and Bus
Students who ride daycare or school buses are dismissed from the back of the building. If you are not a bus driver or registered day care, please do not enter the back driveway.
Walkers
Students whose parents/guardians have given permission to walk home, will remain inside the building until the car rider line has decreased. Walking students will be dismissed out the front main doors between 3:45-3:50pm.
All students and their families should use crosswalks when walking on Del City Elementary property during dismissal. Please do not walk through the car rider lane or the parking lot.
Should someone need to park, please use the parking lot on 24th and Epperly. Please note the no parking zones on Epperly.
