Cheerleaders Volunteer for SOMC Pediatric Guild
PWHS cheerleaders volunteered at the SOMC Pediatric Guild's Polar Express Pajama Party fundraiser on Nov. 19. The girls operated several game and craft stations for the children at the event. It was a great evening of team bonding and community service. Another example of West kids doing great things!
Memory Project
Sophomore Kimberly Stanley (pictured below) recently created a portrait for the Memory Project. According to the project site, "The Memory Project is dedicated to promoting intercultural awareness, friendship, and kindness between children around the world through the universal language of art... By facilitating the creation and delivery of heartfelt artwork and poetry made by children for children, we strive to break cultural barriers, leave children with a unique childhood memory, inspire creativity, show children living in difficult situations that they are valued, and cultivate a kinder world. We want to empower teachers and students in their pursuit of the same goals."
Pancake Benefit Breakfast
The Portsmouth West Key Club Sponsored Pancake breakfast (pictured above and below) was a huge success thanks to the hard work the students put into it and from the awesome support of the community. We were able to not only meet but to exceed our goal! The Key Club would like to thank the community for their support. For more images, click here.
