AESD Family Letter
August 18, 2023
Dear Anaheim Elementary School District Families,
As we prepare for this weekend and the start of next week, we want to alert you that we are expecting heavy rain and wind due to Tropical Storm Hilary, which remains a category 4 storm currently located off of Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
In preparation for the anticipated storm, we will continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure that our schools are safe and are monitored for possible damage.
Despite the anticipated weather, we are encouraging each of you to send your children to school on Monday. Strong attendance is one of the true precursors to academic success and it is important your children are present at school.
If any emergency updates are needed regarding the conditions at your school, your child’s principal will send a ParentSquare on Sunday to keep you informed.
We look forward to another great week of school, and appreciate your ongoing support of the Anaheim Elementary School District. Please continue to monitor your email/texts for any updates through ParentSquare.
Kind regards,
Dr. Chris Downing
Superintendent
