2nd Quarter Report Cards-- Please be mindful that the grading window for 2nd quarter will open on January 23rdd with grades being due on January 27th. With that being said, I recommend that you review your gradebook at how many assessment, classwork and homework grades you have for the students. Please be sure that there will be a balance among the three. ALL MAKEUP ASSIGNMENTS should be submitted and graded by January 23rd.

Please ensure that you enter at least one grade for the weeks of:

-November 25th (Thanksgiving)

-January 2nd (last week)

New Students

Thank you for welcoming new students to your class. Within the past 30 days, we have enrolled 18 new students. Please make sure that you have a Reading level and graded assignments for the upcoming grading window.

DOUBLE CHECK TINNIN

BTinnin is asking ALL teachers to check SchoolMax daily/weekly to ensure that your gradebook, class roster, etc. are current which include enrollment and withdrawal. BTinnin welcome your observations in order to ensure that our SchoolMax files, records, and data are up-to-date.

Students who are being considered for retention must have a SST meeting by the end of the second quarter. I need referrals by January 8th.

• check the calendar in order to be prepared for meetings
• Reiterate the rituals, routines and procedures with your students! Practice the procedures so students are reminded of the expectations.

  
  

  • Dismissal Reminders:
  • Monitor students bus numbers strictly and be certain that students are leaving the classroom only when their bus is called. Monitor them from the classroom to the bus.
    
  • Review the route students are expected to take after exiting the classroom to the bus.
  • Lastly, and most importantly, escort the remaining students to the Bus Loop and remain with them to assist with the final stage of dismissal.
  • PREK and Kinder friends should be wearing their vests.
  • Please ensure that a form of parent communication tool is being utilized for parents.
