Each week, I'll highlight a Student/Parent Handbook policy. What makes it into the WILDCAT ROAR is usually something that I've been dealing with and/or I'm hoping to NOT have to deal with because all of our students and adults are aware of the policy. This week's Handbook Highlight is...

ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
All students are encouraged to attend school events. Students must be in attendance on the day of an activity for at least 4 consecutive periods. Students placed in OSS or students who have failed to serve detention may not attend or participate in a school sponsored event.

Due to liability concerns from MUSIC, our insurance company, pets are not permitted on school property.

This excludes service animals and classroom/curricular animals, pre approved by a Building Principal.

Students, Parents, and Staff can give a shout out to any Slater Schools employee! We'll make sure they receive a copy of it and will look for ways to share them with you throughout the year as well.

End of Course (EOC) testing will take place April 24-May 5.

It is very important for students to be in attendance during this time. Please make arrangements for appointments to be made outside of this time frame to allow for uninterrupted testing time.

Seniors - watch your email for information about Senior Trip and Graduation!

We will ask Seniors to stop by the HS Office at the beginning of the week to confirm the spelling of their name for their Diploma so we can get them ordered.

Speaking of Graduation...remember:

• Your attendance must be at least 90% to walk at the Graduation ceremony.
• Your Diploma must contain your legal name. At the ceremony, I can call your name as whatever you request - full name, first and last only, Andy instead of Andrew...

Every student has been issued his or her own Chromebook.

The loaner Chromebooks are to be used by students whose machines are being repaired.

If you have lost or forgotten your machine, you are on your own. You are still responsible for completing the work that was assigned - you just may get to do it on paper. Welcome to 1994. It was a good year. :)

Students, please don't park on the West side of the gravel lot (facing Morgan Street/Greenhouse, Weight Room, Maintenance Shed).

We need that area for District vehicles and staff members.

Students, if you're not coming back from lunch, please let Ms. Wiseman know - either before you leave for lunch, or call from where you are. Failure to do so could result in a Truancy Referral...
