The Walker Talker
Walker Career Center weekly update - February 28, 2020
ETE Goes Virtual Reality
The Engineering and Technology Education Department has several programs that benefit from Virtual Reality equipment on a daily basis. By using the VR equipment, students are able to understand the beginning level skills needed to complete various tasks without the fears of injury or damaged equipment. As a bonus, the VR systems make for a great recruitment tool during Career and College Fest as well as our elementary and intermediate school visits.
These girls can do it all
The ladies in Cosmetology I are continuing to build their portfolios as they perfect their craft in a wide variety of skills. Don't forget that these talented individuals are available to perform work on customers throughout the week and some weekends.
Wake Up Warren!
Television I and II students work hard at bringing you up to date news on a daily basis through WCTV Wake Up Warren. Students in Television I and II have gone through Intro to Communications prior to entering Television I. Anyone that is interested in learning more about WCTV should contact Ms. English, Mr. Jarrett, or Mr. Hunt.
Door Decorating Contest
Big props to Ms. Handy, Mrs. Summeier, and Mrs. Hert on their amazing doors that they made for Black History Month.
What is that amazing smell in the F Hallway?
The students in Nutrition and Wellness were able to make everyone that is on a diet upset this week by filling the hallways with the amazing smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.
