Bonham High School Board Report

We are beginning our second round of interim testing and I am excited to share that our preliminary results obtained today show our teacher's and student's efforts in our English departments are yielding results that not only continue to reflect growth, but expanded growth! Our Warrior Time groups have again been readjusted again to allow and our students, teachers and support personnel to continue striving daily to achieve the greatness that we see in them! In utilizing the MAP testing data we have been able to not only target specific areas of identified weaknesses to help speed up our learners identified weaknesses to help catch them up but we are able to couple this with motivational factors such as "free Choice" Warrior Time as well as off campus lunch to drive them forward toward our targets for their growth. We continue to raise expectations for student discipline and academic performance. Higher expectations yield higher results!

With our weather throwing us curveballs our community stepped up to the plate and delivered a grand slam in recognizing our Seniors during our Senior Recognition Program last Friday. The stands were filled but so was the stage as our Seniors (and many of their parents) put on a show for the ages!

Our BHS Robotics team is going to state for the THIRD time in the last four years! This will be back-to-back appearances for this team. Congratulations BHS Robotics and sponsors, Mr. Story and Mr. Williamson!!!

Our first BHS Warrior Fishing Teams competed this Saturday in the Lake Ray Roberts fishing tournament. This will be our last tournament for the fall season and our competitors are representing us well!!! Our teams are comprised of the following Warriors: Christian Brock & Michelle Elliot, Braydon Steelman & Bryton Cole, Tristan & Presley Collins, Dreygan Worley & Justin McBride along with Hunter Labelle & Lily Floden. The Warrior fishing team manager is Angel Stanley and is sponsored by Erik Van Meter and Clay Wilson

Even though the county fair has come to a conclusion, our FFA students have been very busy preparing for the upcoming majors and of course our leadership competitions. Congratulations to not only these pictured, but all who have represented us well!!!

Senior Alli Kirkpatrick filled the stands again, but this time it was a little different. Our Senior committed to continue her volleyball career at Angelo State University this past week.
