#PointerNation Online Registration will open Monday, July 25 for the 2022-23 School Year!
Please note:
1. Student demographic information must be filled out online in Skyward Family Access.
2. School fees can be paid in-person either August 4 or 8. Please select a time using the sign up genius link in the post below. You can also pay online using e-funds (link also included in the post below).
3. Pictures will not be taken during registration and will be during school Thursday, September 15.

Members of the 5th grade summer school class visited the Southwest CAP Food Pantry to learn about helpful organizations in Iowa County, as well as the importance of volunteering. The kids did a wonderful job!

We are excited to showcase our #PointerNation Seniors with Scholarship Spotlights! A sincere thank you to generous donors who helped our graduates earn nearly $1 million in scholarships!

Congratulations to the new Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) President, our very own Communications Director Joelle Doye! Joelle will serve from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024 in this capacity. Never before in WSPRA's 55 year history has the President come from a smaller school district. The mission of WSPRA is to expand the capacity of its members to provide effective communication management for the purpose of strengthening educational opportunities for all students.

Congratulations to Micki Uppena (Elementary Librarian) who has been named a new board member for WiLS (formerly Wisconsin Library Services)! The mission of WiLS is:

- We believe libraries, cultural institutions, and their partners make the world a better place.

- We build relationships and provide services so they can do more with their time and money.

- We help our members turn ideas into action.

Badger Boys State is a week-long summer camp for Wisconsin's top incoming Seniors to learn more about how government is run and how to be a better leader. This year's #PointerNation representatives were Griffin Albaugh, Oliver Benson, Jackson Busch, and Marcus Cool. Thank you to the American Legion for sponsoring!

If interested in substitute teaching, CESA 3 is having a training in Fennimore August 2. New substitute teachers in Wisconsin need the minimum of an associates degree and certified training (like this workshop) to obtain a license. The next scheduled training will likely be in November, so getting the school year started with a license in hand is the best plan. Alumni Alert! Brady Roberts, a 2018 graduate of MPHS, was a Chancellor's Leadership Award recipient and graduated magna cum laude in Wildlife Ecology and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in May 2022. Brady is currently working as a Wildlife Damage Technician for Wyoming Game and Fish in the Bighorn Mountains region!
