Good Evening Churchill Families,

We are at the end of September and halfway through the 1st Quarter of the year. Thank you to all Churchill families for your support these first few months of the year. We have many great things happening here at Churchill each day and I am proud of our students for their hard work and dedication. One thing I ask of you is to talk to your child about the importance of throwing away their trash after lunch each day. We will be making some adjustments to our outside lunch next week and while students will still be able to eat outside, we are going to temporarily remove access to the concrete flower beds on campus until we have better school-wide participation in making sure our trash is thrown away after lunch. If we can have a few weeks where all students are doing their part, we can open the concrete planter boxes back up for eating.

Today, all students observed a principal's message with this information and I encourage you to ask them about the information shared. We have a beautiful campus and I know all of us want to see it remain as such.

• School Site Council - We have one open seat this year for our school site council and if you are interested in submitting your name forward, please email michael.magliola@sanjuan.edu with your interest. If we receive more than one name we will hold an electronic election later this month. Our window for submission will end on Sunday, September 24th.
