The staff are excited to "SOAR" into a new school year!

This year our teachers will be reaching out to their classroom students via email. You will also be able to view your child's teacher on ParentVue beginning August 15th. If you haven't already done so, please take time to log onto your ParentVue account to update your information before the first day of school. There are documents that need your approval and electronic signature.

Linden Elementary has received many updates throughout the building this summer and we are excited to begin our 2022-2023 school year in a freshly renovated building. We are seeing delays with certain products and enhancements at Linden Elementary. Contingency plans are in place, and we are confident that we will be ready for students on August 22.

As some of our renovations continue, our timeline for unpacking will be tight. Please excuse any boxes you see as we are working diligently to prepare for your child on August 22, 2022. Your child's teacher may be reaching out for extra assistance prior to the first day of school.

Some of the ongoing renovations include:

• Lockers have been delayed and will be installed (during non-school hours) as they arrive. Classroom hooks will remain until lockers are installed.

• Some of our interior doors will arrive after the start of school and be installed as they arrive (during non-school hours).

• Permanent storage (casework) in the Music Room has been delayed and will be installed upon arrival (during non-school hours).

• Our new public address and bell system has been delayed by four weeks. A temporary system is in place and will be used until the new system arrives. All emergency notification systems have been installed and are currently being tested.

• The whiteboard systems, that are being installed in every classroom will arrive on August 22. These systems will be installed during non-school hours.

Linden Community Schools Food Service will no longer be able to provide free meals to all students for the 2022-2023 school year, so please make sure to fill out your Free and Reduced Meal Applications.

In addition to possibly qualifying for Free or Reduced Meals, this information is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc. Specifically, this supports our Intervention Programs at Linden Elementary. Food Service is also looking for energetic people that love kids. If you are looking for a part time job that would fit into your child's school schedule, this job is for you!
