Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
What a year it has been! We have officially come to our last week of online distance learning for the 2019-2020 school year. We want to say Thank You for all your cooperation and patience as we have tread through these uncharted waters together. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has recently provided guidelines on how and when graduation ceremonies may take place. These guidelines currently prohibit all indoor graduation ceremonies through the month of May. In light of this crucial information, Life School has collaborated with Waxahachie ISD to hold our Life School Graduation Ceremonies at Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie on June 9th. Our goal is to create a graduation celebration that complies with health and safety regulations, while also recognizing the monumental achievement our students have met. Additional details and directions will be coming to our senior parents in the coming days.
Important upcoming dates:
Friday, May 15th – Last day to turn in assignments. All assignments must be submitted by midnight on 5/15/20. Please make sure you are communicating with your teachers if you are missing any work or have any questions.
Monday, May 18th – Chromebook and Textbook return from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you did not pick up your medication, yearbook, senior tile, or other items from your school locker last week, this will be your final day to do so. You will follow the same procedures as before: Pull to the front office, stay in your vehicle, you will be greeted by a staff member. Any student planning to enter the building to retrieve items from their locker should wear a face mask.
To all of our returning students, we are looking forward to the start of a new school year where we can hopefully all be together again. Thank you for all your hard work and commitment to your education. We are Mustangs! All day, every day!
