Welcome to My First Ed Tech Challenge!

As a Digital Learning Coach, it is my job to encourage and support teachers to try new technologies and implement them in their classrooms.


Each month I will provide opportunities for you to earn Ed Tech points in the form of experimenting with digital tools, attending webinars, PD sessions and Ed Tech Mini-Conferences. You can even earn points by booking an appointment with me to learn how we can work collaboratively in your classroom to take your technology integration to the next level.


Earn at least 20 points by the end of the month, and you will be entered into a Monthly Drawing for a Starbucks or iTunes gift card. How cool is that?

Create an Educational Online Presence with Social Media **2** Points Each

Many of you may have already established an educational online presence so these points will be easy to earn. Each social media profile is worth 2 points each.

How to earn your points:

In Twitter, create an account and follow me @1Larenda.

In Google+, create an account, customize your profile page, create a circle specifically for teachers/colleagues and add me to your circle.

In Edmodo, create an account, customize your profile page and add me as a connection.


  • Remember, some may have to be completed outside the CCSD filter.

Google Apps for Education Part 1 Mini-Conference

Attend the Google Apps for Education Part 1 Mini-Conference on Saturday, October 24th, at Roy Martin Middle School. Explore the different tools available through Google Apps for Education that can engage students in learning. Many of these tools will enhance your own productivity as well.
