We hope everyone enjoys a long weekend and is able to take time to recognize the enormous contribution Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made toward the American Civil Rights Movement. Our morning announcements have been sharing key quotes from Dr. King that encapsulate his philosophy of equality and nonviolence.
January is National School Board Recognition month! Please take time to thank our local school board members for all that they do to support our students at Slate Valley.
We are planning to begin our student course requests for the 2024/2025 school year during the week of January 22nd. Below, you will find the 2024-2025 FHUMHS Program of Studies. This is also posted on our school website. Please review next year's course offerings with your child(ren). This is a great opportunity to discuss classes you feel they should take. I would also invite you to reach out to your child(ren)'s counselors if you have questions about specific courses.
January 26th marks the end of our first Semester. report cards will be finalized by January 30th and mailed home soon afterward (it usually takes us a day or two to stuff envelopes). We will also be updating our extra-curricular eligibility list once grades are finalized. Please contact the school if you have any issues using PowerSchool to view your child(ren)'s academic progress.
