Our Mission:
Assistant Principal's Message
After the first day of being the interim assistant principal at Meridian High School the first thing I told my wife when I got home was, "the students are so nice!" Three months later and I'm still so excited to come to school every day and work with these amazing kids, welcoming staff, and involved families.
I've worked with students from schools all around the state and it is clear that there is just something different about Meridian students. They are hard-working, kind, and inclusive. They're willing to try new things and get involved. It meant so much to me when I first arrived that they were so warm and welcoming to me.
Collaborating with my fellow educators has been incredible. Their ability to engage students and develop relationships with them is so much fun to watch. They are innovative and committed and truly care about the students they're working with. It's clear that every educator in the building-and those outside the building like our transportation team and coaches!-chose this work because they care about our students.
The level of engagement in this community is amazing. I've seen first-hand how much the community rallies around our school. The turnout for things like 8th-grade orientation night, the talent show, the play, the concerts, and sporting events is off the charts. I was told three months ago that the Meridian community is like a family, and I couldn't agree more.
Because of how much I've enjoyed my time in Meridian High School I applied for the permanent assistant principal job when it opened up. After five hours of interviews they offered me the job. Of course I accepted immediately and I am so happy to be a part of the Meridian family moving forward.
Go Trojans!

International Nurses Day
The heart of the healthcare sector is celebrated on International Nurses Day on May 12th. Often the first and last person a patient sees during a hospital visit, nurses are truly the rockstars!
We are very thankful for the great nurses that we have in the Meridian School District. This year has been a busy one for our nurses. They have embraced the challenges and supported all of us with a smile. Thank you to all the district nurses! We appreciate all your hard work and support!
A special shout out to our MHS nurses - Stacy and Rachel! Thank you for all you do for our school!
Request Transcripts Through Parchment
Meridian High School has partnered with parchment.com to fulfill transcript requests for current students and MHS alumni. Transcripts are securely sent electronically to colleges and universities across the nation, resulting in a reduction of lost documents at the financial aid offices. The service is free of charge to current students. Alumni pay a small fee. Please make sure that your intended college accepts electronic transcripts.
Please find the “Order transcripts through Parchment” link under Families & Students/Resources on the MHS website. Current students may call Mrs. Brinkman or Mrs. Waterman to receive their Parchment access code at the MHS office 360-398-8111.
Attendance Information
Being present in class is vital to be successful in school. We want to encourage all of our students to be at school every day! If you are missing school, you are missing out on learning!
