It was a great weekend of pageants in Carl D. Rogers Gymnasium. Seven young ladies now hold the titles of our 2023 Miss Mountainburg Youth pageant divisions. And Saturday night, we crowned our 32nd and 2023 Miss Mountainburg!

Mrs. Christian, the contestants, and the senior class appreciate everyone's support of the 2023 pageants.

If you know a student in 2nd through 11th grade that you feel would benefit from receiving gifted services please fill out this form. Testing will be taking place at the end of March into the month of April.

The deadline to turn in GT Referrals is Friday, March 24th!

It is important for parents to be involved at all grade levels of their student's school career. Mrs. Cristee is working toward having a PTO at MHS. If you are interested in being a part of this great parent involvement opportunity, please email her - courtney.cristee@mountainburg.org.

Our high school curriculum team, Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Robbins, and Mrs. Cristee had the opportunity to learn more about breaking down essential standards. This is one of the most critical steps in learning how to pinpoint our students’ exact needs.

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month strives to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of community life, as well as awareness to the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face. Through disability awareness, the misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding those with disabilities can be put to rest. Educate and advocate, Dragons!

The Mountainburg Public Library works hard to put together great activities for our communities. It doesn't go unnoticed and is very much appreciated!

Personal Note: This is Mrs. Christian. As many know, I grew up in Mountainburg. I remember the activities that our library would sponsor. Back then, the library was in what is now the VFW building across from Uptown Frills. These activities offer a fun and safe environment for the kids in our community.

The Mountainburg Board of Education meets once a month unless a special meeting is needed. A study session will be held at 5:15 and the business session will be at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held downstairs in the Mountainburg Administration Building.
