Andrea Graham

Andrea Graham is an artist and educator residing in rural Ontario, Canada. Using both traditional nomadic and modern feltmaking techniques, wool fibre is magically transformed. Felted wool is traditionally created with wool fibre, soap and water. Alternately, a single barbed needle borrowed from industrial felting machines can be used as a sculpting tool, entangling the scales on the wool fibres creating feld fibre. These techniques together allow for endless possibilities.

Andrea will be teaching techniques in the Netherlands at atelier Fiberfusing that she have not taught before especially for her returning students!

She will not be teaching back in the Netherlands for a few years...come while you have the chance!

May, 9-10 Wonderful pods

using a solid wool core technique and images of inspiration, you will create a small series of pods that may hang or stand freely. "Spores", slashes, openings, sprouting wire and wool elements will all be explored.

May, 11-12 Organic sculpture with 3D elements

felted vessel form with complex surface design. By layering colour, areas can be cut away to expose additional resists or excavate contrast

learn about techniques and new materials, learn how to design with colours and textures!

You can join the workshops seperately

All workshops will be taught in English and/or in Dutch. During the workshop you can have coffee, tea etc. and we will serve a lovely lunch.
