PSC Farewell BBQ

A huge thank you to our PSC for organizing the fantastic year-end BBQ. It was an absolute blast and brought so much joy to everyone involved – students, parents, and staff. Our PSC's hard work, enthusiasm, and teamwork have truly made a remarkable impact, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate group of parents supporting our school community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do!

We would also like to give a shout out to our Fort Saskatchewan M&M Food Market for supplying the BBQ for this event!

St. John XXIII Fun Day

On Wednesday, June 14th, students from the JPII Sport for Life Program will be sharing games that they've created at our Fun Day. All students will get the opportunity to participate in the activity stations.

Please make sure that your child is dressed for the event with appropriate clothing and shoes as well as a water bottle that they can take outside.

Transitions: New teams shared Friday, June 16th, for current K-3 Students

Many professional considerations are taking into account when determining optimal learning environments for all students next year. At St. John XXIII, staff work diligently every day to build connections and foster relationships with ALL students, regardless of class, they are all "our kids" and this makes transitioning so much easier. Every child is a part of community and not just one homeroom. Students next year will continue to be part of grade level teams, loved and supported by all STJXXIII staff.

On Friday, June 16th at 3:30 pm, your child's "home base" with be shared via PowerSchool. What is important to know is that while your child will have a home base teacher placement, they will be a part of team, which will also include our Student Support team.

Students' Home Base placement for the 2023-2024 school year will be available in the Powerschool Parent Portal. *This is only applicable to current students in K-3 at St. John XXIII (this does not apply to students coming from other schools or grade fours heading to SJPII).

To see your child's "homebase" placement for next year:

Login into PowerSchool Parent Portal

Click on child's name tab at the top of the page

Click on "Additional Resources" in the left hand column

Click on "Next Year Placements"

Repeat for each child.

New teams will be connecting with your child on Monday, June 19th.

Thank-you for your continued trust in all we do!
