Keeping you informed on important dates and information
THANK YOU
The opening of the school year has truly been a team effort! We look forward to continuing our partnership as we prepare to transition to the hybrid phase of our school's re-entry plan.

Student Survey
Nipmuc School Bus Survey
Based upon current community COVID-19 metrics, district readiness, and the experiences of neighboring districts with the hybrid model, at the next Regional School Committee meeting on October 5, he will be making the recommendation to move to the next stage of reentry with the Hybrid Model for students starting on Tuesday, October 13.
Thus, the district is in the final stages of planning for in-person instruction. Part of that planning involves busing and mapping out the bus routes for both Cohort 1 and Cohort 2. As bus capacity will be diminished, in some cases by more than 50%, we need to know who exactly will be riding the bus. Thus, Dr. Maruszczak asks that you take this short survey by week's end (Friday, October 2) so we may plan accordingly.
Please do this survey ONLY for your student(s) that attend Nipmuc. A separate survey should be completed for each student. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

A Message from Mr. Schmidt about Fall I Sports
Spectator Information for Fall I Sports
Our Fall I sports are off to a tremendous start. I couldn't be prouder of our kids in such difficult circumstances. Next week we will begin games for the majority of our Fall I sports (golf excluded). Please see below for a few reminders:
- Fall I student-athletes will receive a spectator placard for one family member to attend our games. We understand the disappointment this may create but we are under strict guidelines by the governor's office as to the number of spectators that can attend games (50 total). Any family member who is attending a game must have the placard visible in order to attend the game. If the governor chooses to increase the number of fans we will provide each student-athlete with an additional spectator placard. Please be aware that this guidance also applies to away games.
- All who are in attendance at our sporting events must be masked while they are on school property and must do their best to maintain appropriate social distance. Each field has markings for fans in order to help maintain physical distance.
- We are anticipating that our "senior games" will be the second home game for each sport. The schools in our pod have agreed that only fans of the home team will be able to attend these games. Therefore, each player will be allowed to bring two spectators for those home games. The dates of these games are as follows:
Oct 13: Field Hockey
Oct 14: Boys' Soccer
Oct 16: Girls' Soccer
Nov 13: Boys' and Girls' Cross Country
Thank you in advance for helping us have a safe and successful fall sports season.
