So much goes into making this newsletter happen; everything from interviewing staff & students, reporting on events & activities happening in the school, promoting upcoming events, and so much more! One Act Play Comes to Battle Lake
On January 2, Battle Lake School students were able to watch Chuck Johnson perform "The Night Before Gettysburg," a 1-man, 3-scene, 1-act play, in which Abraham Lincoln finishes writing the Gettysburg Address. The Minnesota Historical and Culture Heritage Grants had awarded Chuck Johnson a "Legacy Grant" that allows him to perform "The Night Before Gettysburg" a 1-act play at area schools. Take a look!
MHS Gives Back
MHS had the honor of helping at Feed My Starving Children at the FargoDome!
5th & 6th Grade Ski Trip
On January 12, the 5th and 6th graders enjoyed a day on the slopes at Andes Tower Hills near Brandon, MN. Take a look!

BPA Regions
BPA Students Receive 56 Awards at the Region 7 Conference
The Business Professionals of America (BPA) Region 7 Leadership Conference took place Friday, January 26, at the Alexandria Technical and Community College in Alexandria, MN.
Twenty-seven students competed and represented Battle Lake School well, with 23 placing in multiple categories, bringing home 56 awards and 15 taking first place! “I couldn’t be more proud of the professionalism portrayed and the success these students had at Regions. I am excited to see what the State Conference will bring for them,” stated advisor Janell Kraemer.
