Back to School Information

This Cub Hub is the first of the Friday Communications. Each week you will receive an update from Bear Creek with timely information and perhaps even a few photos.

If you have any questions about registration, contact Robin Mealey. She is eager to assist as we finalize our class lists.

As you plan for the start of the school year. The school day begins at 7:40 am and ends at 3:10 pm. The day begins promptly at 7:40 am with Morning Announcements. The first week of school we will not count tardies. This allows traffic patterns and transportation to settle into efficient routines. Our doors will open at 7:15 am. Stay tuned for arrival and dismissal routines in the upcoming Hub Cub. Our process will reflect last year's amazing system. I am waiting any updates from transportation about bus schedules before we finalize the Arrival and Dismissal Documents.

PK Families. Please stay tuned for a special event to assist your students as they transition to Bear Creek. For the 2023-2024 school year, Bear Creek as two PK classes. Each class has a certified teacher and a teaching assistant.

Tuesday, August 8th, is an opportunity for Kinder students and their parents to come to Bear Creek. After a self-guided tour from 5:00 - 5:30, all participants will meet in the cafeteria. Parents will stay for a Kindergarten 101 meeting. During this time parents will learn about all things Bear Creek. Students will leave with teachers for activities and games in the Kinder Classrooms. These activities will help your child become comfortable about the first day of school. Your child will not be assigned a specific teacher that evening. There will be a follow up communication about the class assignments on Wednesday.

Please return Thursday, August 10th for Meet the Teacher. Meet the Teacher is the ideal time to connect to your child's teacher and bring school supplies.

Mark you calendar! In order to accommodate the lack of parking, we are requesting that you Meet the Teacher during the above times. You will be able to bring school supplies, take Back to School photos, stop in a see PTA, and connect with Bear Creek families.

Families will receive an email Wednesday, August 9th, in the afternoon sharing teacher assignments for the 2023-2024 school year.

Walking, biking, and golf carting is appreciated. Golf Cart parking will be available behind the school in the bus loop.
