This week's Educator of the Week is Ms. Kathryn Hahn. Ms. Hahn has been an amazing art teacher in the District for eleven years and she currently works with students at both the EWS and the SRS.

When asked about the impact that Ms. Hahn has on her students, Principal Bishop from the EWS noted that, "Ms. Hahn helps children of all ages create an impressive range of masterpieces. With her guidance, every child learns how to express themselves artistically through several media, and the results are truly beautiful and inspiring." She went on to add that, "Her many projects are enjoyed and treasured by her students, families, and staff.

Congratulations to Ms. Hahn for being recognized as this week's Educator of the Week. We are fortunate to have her creating young artists across our elementary schools. #WeRMarshfield

The Marshfield Education Foundation is always looking for new members to join our organization. The MEF is currently seeking a new Treasurer to begin the 2024/25 school year. We would ideally like to have this role filled before our current Treasurer ends their term at the end of the 2023/24 school year. If you are interested, please send an email to info@marshfieldfoundation.org. Following is a brief description of the role:

- About the Treasurer role: Shall maintain accurate accounts of all monies of the MEF received or disbursed. The Treasurer shall carry out all MEF financial transactions at banks and depositories designated by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall have the authority to endorse all drafts received by the MEF, and render as required, an account of all transactions and of the financial condition of the MEF. The Treasurer will cause to prepare any financial statements required including tax forms. The Treasurer shall perform all duties incident to the office of Treasurer. The books and accounts of the Treasurer shall at all times be open to the inspection of the Directors and Officers of MEF and of any authorized auditor.

The Marshfield High School Hockey team recently participated in a Cancer vs. Hockey game with Hingham to fundraise for the American Cancer Society. The two schools combined to raise approximately $30,000.

After the final donations were tabulated, the MHS Hockey team was able to present a check to the American Cancer Society this week in the amount of $28,777. This represented what they raised this year, in addition to what our Rams raised last winter.

What an amazing effort by the MHS hockey team. Thanks to the team, their coaches and families and to the hundreds of individuals who helped raise funds on behalf of Hockey Fights Cancer. Efforts like these have a huge impact on so many people. #WeRMarshfield

No better way to wrap up the week than by working in the GWS cafeteria. What a group of dedicated professionals working behind the scenes every day to feed our students.

After working in the kitchen for three lunches, I was then able to sit down, get a bite to eat, and chat with two of my new buddies.

Due to school being cancelled on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, the new final day of school is Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
