Notes from East Hill Elementary
September 22, 2023
Message from East Hill Principal
Dear East Hill Elementary School Families,
All students did a terrific job with the 2 fire drills we had at East Hill this week! The students calmly left the building in their classroom lines when they heard the alarm.
Our teachers met as teams along with our district ELA and Math coaches to look at assessment data that was collected last week and plan for future instruction.
This week Mrs. Holzwarth and Officer Clarke worked with our 2nd grade students in the library to solve book crimes and learn about how to care for books responsibly. (pictures below)
We had a great turn out for our PTA meeting on Tuesday evening. The meetings are informative, fun, and a great way to connect with school. I can't thank our PTA, volunteers, community members, and families enough for all the wonderful things you do for East Hill!
Have a great weekend,
~Susan
Congratulations to this week's Wildcat WOW prize winners!
Bus Safety Reminders
Riding the Bus
1. Obey bus driver at all times.
2. Stay seated the entire bus ride.
3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself and inside the bus.
4. Use “inside” voices.
5. No food or drink is to be eaten on the bus.
It is crucial for students to behave appropriately while riding on West Genesee buses, to ensure their safety and that of other passengers and to avoid distracting the bus driver. Students are required to conduct themselves on the bus in a manner consistent with established standards for classroom behavior. Pushing, shoving, fighting, harassment or excessive noise will not be tolerated.
Positivity Project
