A Message From Your Principal
Dear Village Families,
Hybrid Model Reopening Planning: Even though Governor Newsom has instituted a new stay-at-home order, RVUSD continues to plan for returning to school in a hybrid model when it becomes safe. You can learn more about what school may look like in a hybrid model by attending the Parent Forums next week, which you can find out more here: https://www.rvusd.org/events/#6737965 or by scrolling to the end of this newsletter.
Kindness Challenge: The Village Kindness Challenge is on! Each day Village School Counselor Miss Candace is presenting students with a challenge to strengthen our kindness muscles. Some challenge are about being kind to others, some are about being kind to ourselves. Ask you student about each day’s unique challenge!
Speaking of Miss Candace...It is my very great pleasure to announce that Village’s own Candace Corwonski has been selected as Rincon Valley Union School District’s Employee of the Month for December, 2020. Miss Candace will be honored with this recognition at the December 15th RVUSD Board meeting at 6:00. Miss Candace is a dedicated educator and extraordinary school counselor who goes above and beyond to support all of our students and families. Congratulations!

Looking to connect with other Village families?
Click here to join the new Village Parents Club Slack Group
The Slack group is free, private, and easy to access from a phone or computer. It works a lot like a closed Facebook group, but it doesn't require a Facebook account and the conversations are really easy to search and organize.
In the Slack group you can connect with parents who have kids in the same grade, share ideas and support with other Village families, and feel less alone in this weird and wild time we are all parenting through.
Feel free to contact parentsclub@villageparents.org if you have questions or need help getting setup on Slack.
