Kennedy Family Update

Dear Families,

We are in the final stretch of the school year. There are lots of fun activities planned for the end of the year. It's important for students to remain focused on academics to finish the year strong.

End of the Year Activities

• June 9: Grade 7 Field Trip
• June 12: Grade 8 Field Trip
• June 12: Grade 8 Awards and Moving On Ceremony 6:30pm
• June 13: Grades 6 and 7 Awards Night (all students are invited, students receiving awards will receive an invitation) 6pm
• June 14: Grade 8 Dance 6:30-8:30pm

Yearbooks will be sold at lunch the week of May 8 for $20.

National Junior Honor Society News:

On Thursday, May 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, NJHS members are needed to provide tours of the school to the 5th grade students entering Kennedy next year. If students are interested in volunteering there is a sign up sheet on the NJHS Google Classroom Page. Students need to report to Kennedy at 6:00 wearing their NJHS t-shirt and they will be able to leave before 8:00 pm. Also, all Homeless Care Kits and Teacher Appreciation Letters are due on Monday, May 1st. Finally, our next meeting is Thursday, May 18th after school in the cafeteria.
