TECHNOLOGY CAMPUS CHRONICLE
VOL 5 ISSUE 37
PRINCIPAL CORNER
MAY
Dear OSES Families,
We did it! There are a lot of statements that many would consider cliché, said at the end of the school year. However many of them are true. The year flew by. The end of the school year is a bittersweet time for both students and teachers. The teachers will miss their students but they are also ready to take vacations.
One thing I noticed in particular today (the last day) was I saw many students, teachers, and parents hugging, crying, and laughing. For me, this is the stamp of approval that the year was successful. For some reason, I don’t remember this happening the past few years, at least to the degree I saw it today. I even saw a student who I thought would be running for the hills at the bell, hugging his teacher and getting teary eyed. One of many specials moments today.
On behalf of everyone at OSES, thank you for everything.

SUMMER READING
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
We’re excited to share our Summer Reading List for the 2023-2024 school year. We continue to adjust the program to give students the best possible experience while also upholding the desire to turn them into life-long readers. We know that people who read are more successful in all spheres of life, and we want to give your student her/his best opportunity to be successful both here at OSS and beyond. Below, you’ll find the summer reading list. Please note that you do not need to purchase copies of these books – we recommend checking out your local library for physical or digital copies.
END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES
FIRST
This week students enjoyed a variety of end of year activities. Students participated in learning games, glow parties, and many STEM activities. They signed memory books, yearbooks, and even some shirts!
On Monday, students enjoyed an ice cream buffet. They had the choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream and toppings (sprinkles, Oreos, M&M's, gummy bears/worms, syrups, and whip cream). On Tuesday, they dressed in crazy hair and crazy socks. Wednesday we had an extended recess with popcorn and dressed in beach vibes. Thursday we dressed in cartoon/superhero clothes and we played board games in the classrooms and today we dressed in pajamas and did some flashlight reading.
