PRINCIPAL UPDATE
It was wonderful to see so many families at our Back to School Night on Thursday. We had a record number of families in attendance. Students were so proud and happy to show their families around the school. We hope you were able to meet all of the teachers you wanted to meet, learn about your child's curriculum, and see some of the amazing things they have already done this school year. Thank you for making our Back to School Night a successful event! To help us plan for the future, we would appreciate it if you would take a moment to provide us with some feedback about your Back to School Night experience: Back to School Night 2023 Family Survey
Thank you ππ
We had our first Fire Drill of the school year on September 14th. All students and staff exited the school in under 3 minutes. We were very proud of our students. In October, students will be participating in Fire Safety with the Waltham Fire Department.
Cell Phones and Smart Watches are not allowed in elementary school. On Page 18 of the 2023-2024 Waltham Public Schools Elementary School Handbook, it states:
"Students are not permitted to bring video games or similar equipment to school. If students bring cell phones, smart watches, or any other communication device, they are to remain turned off and placed in their backpack before leaving the house and remain there during the school day, riding the bus to and from school, and at all times on school property. The first such offense will lead to confiscation of the equipment for the day. Repeat offenses may lead to confiscation until the end of the school year."
Thank you for your cooperation!
