Prairie Lakes AEA has partnered with News-O-Matic to provide engaging daily news content to all students. Each weekday, News-O-Matic publishes interactive daily news content that teaches children 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, media literacy, and global awareness. The news stories are written across various reading levels (Lexile based) and are available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Mandarin — in text and audio (all recorded by native speakers). Standard aligned comprehension questions (multiple choice & open ended) come with every article, along with a teacher guide and student activities.
