The Heartbeat of the Wildcat

Students in Mr. Stith’s Health class worked together to research information on some of their favorite foods. In pairs, students explored the nutrition labels of various food items from the different food groups. During their research students examined the ingredients and calculated the nutritional value of their selected foods. Once they documented their findings, students were then able to compare their research with their peers to determine the overall health and nutrition of their items.
The students of Señora Mendoza’s Spanish 3 class viewed a video on Edpuzzle. Students were also taking notes, studying, and answering questions to enhance their Spanish speaking skills. The learning in this classroom is an inspiration as these students are dedicated to learning more of the Spanish language and culture.
Sophomore students Gabby Breeze and Niyah Bowling can be seen working exceptionally hard on their Stained Glass Projects in Mrs. Buchanan's Geometry class. The students are learning how to graph linear equations to create a window display. Currently, the two students are in the process of finishing their measurements. The class is excited to see the final results once everyone's projects are complete!
Sixth grade students in Miss Cooper’s math class are working on conversions. Students volunteer to model the process they took to arrive at the correct calculation. Leadership is celebrated by peers as they applaud the success of their classmates who modeled their work and shared their thinking. This is a great display of Williamsburg students building and practicing the #WildcatWay!
