Open House Thank You

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Open House Curriculum Night. We hope you found the evening informative and were able to connect with our wonderful educators. This event is one of greatest home-school connections over the school year that strengthens our partnership. We are also very appreciative of the BSA for keeping us well fed this evening by providing dinner for our staff.

Fall Benchmarks

During September, students will participate in our benchmark assessments. All students will be assessed with the iReady program for reading and math as well as the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System for guided reading levels. We will also conduct benchmark writing samples. For our K-2 students, we will also use the DIBELS assessment. These battery of assessments allow us to gauge students' current understanding of concepts, inform instruction and monitor progress. Dismissal Car Pick Up Procedure Reminders

When picking up your student(s) at dismissal time please remain in your car at both K/2/3 and 1/4 location lines. This minimizes the chances of a student running to meet you at your car and causing a safety concern. Also, to continue keeping all our students safe, please stay at your location when your student(s) is in your car until a staff member has notified you to proceed to exit. Since many families have alternate family members pick up, especially on early release days, please inform all pick-up contacts of this procedure at Byam dismissal. Thank you for your support!

BYAM NIGHT OUT at the UML Riverhawks
