The Blair Oaks R-II School District has announced the hiring of Clay Crouch as District Activities Director / Assistant High School Principal for the 2021-2022 school year.

Mr. Crouch is currently the Activities Director and High School Physical Education teacher at the Osage County R-II School District in Linn. He has 5 years of educational experience, all of which have been as a Physical Education teacher in Linn, and has spent the last year serving as the Activities Director. Mr. Crouch received his Bachelor’s Degree from Culver-Stockton College and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University. We are excited to welcome Mr. Crouch to our Falcon Family!

Driver's Education

• Must be 15 years of age by June 15, 2021
• Dates: June 2, 3, 7, 8, 9
• Requirements of 30 hours of class work time and 18 driving hours
• Enrollment fee and cost of breakfast/lunch

High School Physical Education

• Dates: June 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29
• Students missing more than one day will not receive credit
• Free enrollment. Only the cost of breakfast and lunch.

State Technical College of Missouri (STCM) will be offering the Accuplacer test at our school on Tuesday, April 6th at 11:30 am.

The Accuplacer test is used for admission at many two-year technical or community colleges. Each program at STCM has different scores required for admission; the required scores are listed on the STCM website. In addition, Accuplacer scores may be used to qualify for dual credit classes next year at BHS.

• English IV ~ must have an 18+ ACT reading & English score, or a 251 Accuplacer English score and a 250 Reading Accuplacer score.
  
• Public Speaking ~ must have an 18+ ACT reading score or a 250 Accuplacer reading score.
  
• College Algebra, Statistics, and/or College Physics with a lab ~ must have a 22 ACT math score or a 265 Accuplacer math score.
  

On the day of the test:

• Students taking the test will eat the first lunch shift.
  
• Bring $20 payable to STCM.
• Bring a photo ID at the time of testing.
  
  

If you would like to take the Accuplacer on April 6th, fill out the Google form (link) no later than Friday, March 26th. Have a wonderful week.

Out-of-school dates

• Seniors may bring out-of-school guests.
• Juniors will have to wait until next year.

Guests

• Must be at least a high school freshman
• Must not be older than 21
• Sign-up guests on the Google form in classroom.
• Guests must present an ID at prom.
• Students may not re-enter prom once they leave.

Prom is a formal dress occasion, no jeans.

Blair Oaks High School is pleased to announce the members of our 2021 Prom Court. The king and queen will be announced on prom night, Saturday, April 10th.

Blair Oaks Dance Team is hosting a clinic for 8-11th graders that will introduce students to dance and be an open audition as well. The dance clinic will be held weekly on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on April 15, 22, 29 and May 6th. The clinic will be held in the high school cafeteria. All interested students are invited to attend.
